Saxion Univesity of Applied Sience conducted interviews and focus groups in Colmschate and Bathmen to explore youth involvement in their communities.

In Colmschate (a peri-urban area), we spoke with three youth workers and held a focus group with local youth and staff from Raster. The youth are actively engaged in improving Veldpape Square and maintaining communication with neighbors and the municipality.

In Bathmen (a rural area), we interviewed a young volunteer and a community liaison. The focus group included board members of the Rural Youth Association—volunteers aged 20–29—who organize activities for over 400 members. The meeting took place at the home of one of the members.
